Parts & schematics:

Older tools integrated a different actuator system.

• All tools with Serial Numbers starting with "25" or below integrate the old-style actuator system.
• All tools with Serial Numbers starting with "28" or above integrate the new-style actuator system.
• Tools with Serial Numbers starting with "26" or "27" may have either system.
  Remove the head cap to check if your tool has a steel actuator P-541 or the composite actuator P-642.

The design of P240 & P260 tools evolved over the years. It is important to identify the correct part number before ordering.

Refer to the schematics or one in the chart below:

	Pneumatic nailer are designed to be operated with a 2.8 lbs mallet. Use ONLY the rubber end of the mallet to actuate the tool. The use of the steel end will damage the head assembly and will VOID the warranty.
	Pneumatic tools require minimal lubrication. Few drops of oil weekly in the air inlet is sufficient to reduce wear and prolong life.
	Troubleshoot your compressed air delivery system. Many of problems come from a faulty or inadequate compressed air supply system. Read this section before attempting to repair the tool.
